Antibodies storage freezer

In general for biopharmaceuticals there are two main storage classes of interest 2-8 °C refrigerator storage (which is appropriate for most antibody preparation) and -15 to -25 °C deep-freezer storage. Some products may even require storage at -70 °C. 

Storage of antibodies is controversial. Hint After years of antibody use, we recommend storing antibodies in small aliquots in microfiige tubes in a -70 C freezer. These aliquots of about 10 p. contain enough liquid for one or two uses. These antibodies will last for many years at this temperature and will not dry because there is no circulating cold air. The downside is that this process requires a lot of space and a great record system to keep track of where individual antibodies are located.
