Angiogenesis, thalidomide effects

Interest in thalidomide resurged in recent years because of its antitumor activity in the treatment of multiple myeloma (Oxberry and Johnson 2006). The compound is an inhibitor of angiogenesis, that is, it prevents formation of new blood vessels in tumors.
