The acridinone scaffold has been reported via cascade iodocyclization of functionally substituted 2-aminophenyl propynyl oxyenone. A Brpnsted acid-catalysed regioselec-tive 6-exo-trig cycloisomerization has been reported for the preparation of 2,3-dihydro-4//-pyran-4-ones with the Brpnsted acid acting as a catalyst activating both the carbonyl and alkene moieties in a cascade manner (Seheme 66). ...
