DOPAMINERGICS PARACETAMOL Amantadine, bromocriptine, levodopa, pergolide, pramipexole and selegiline may slow the onset of action of intermittent-dose paracetamol Anticholinergic effects delay gastric emptying and absorption Warn patients that the action of paracetamol may be delayed. This will not be the case when paracetamol is taken regularly... [Pg.244]

It should be noted that the patient was and apparently still is taking pramipexole and amantadine in addition to levodopa. [Pg.2041]

Drugs used to increase DA fundion are levodopa, tolcapone, entacapone, bromocriptine, pramipexole, ropinirole, and selegiline. Drugs that decrease ACh fundion are benztropine, trihexyphenidyl, and amantadine. The properties of each are described. [Pg.174]

Cimetidine, and possibly amantadine modestly reduce the clearance of pramipexole from the body, and some caution is advised on concurrent use. Probenecid had a minor effect on pramipexole clearance, which is not clinically relevant. [Pg.695]

A 61-year-old woman with Parkinson s disease was given amantadine, followed over the next 6 years by pramipexole. ropinirole, co-careldopa, and entacapone [282 ]. She subsequently developed severe comeal edema. Amantadine was withdrawn and within 1 trwnth the comeal edema had completely resolved. The comeal thicknesses improved from 810 to 640 pm in the right eye and from 780 to 660 pm in the left eye. [Pg.603]
