Aircraft Maintenance Manual

The inspection provisions within the aircraft Maintenance Manual and associated Maintenance Requirements did not specify periodic visual inspections of such retainers, since they had been designed and certificated on a safe life basis... 

This may be captured in Table 6.2 (column 4) and Table 6.3 (column 7). During the early stages of the design, these recommendations will be aimed at the design process. As the system approaches flight trials and certification, these recommendations will be for specific entry into the aircraft Technical Pnblications (e.g. Hight Reference Cards, Maintenance Manuals, etc.). 

Time pressures exist when inadequate maintenance scheduling processes do not permit all required tasks to be carried out in accordance with maintenance manuals or other documentation. Or aircraft scheduling may mean that a deviation from checklists or procedures is required to minimize delays in getting the aircraft out of maintenance, or to ensure on-time departures. 

Confimation of revised aircraft manuals, which specifies maintenance requirements, as well as makes recommendations for reactive fault diagnostics and proactive crew checks.
