Aide memoire

On the basis of the information contained in a step-by-step procedure, a checklist can be designed consisting of active checks for critical steps which operate as an "aide memoir." Experienced workers who normally carry out a task from memory may forget isolated acts or inadvertently not follow the correct sequence of steps in the procedure. 

So, as a final aide-memoire, beware of magnetic equations that have a cq in them. 

Notice, however, that in real situations, if for instance an alloy is subjected to a rapid change of temperature, it is possible that transformations occur which do not correspond to a sequence of true equilibrium states. It is possible that some transition will be missed or shifted to a different temperature or that a phase stable in a certain range of temperature (or pressure) will be retained in different conditions. Before we enter into our discussion of the many-faceted individual and the attendant issue of integration of those facets, it may be as well to recall that our topic is a very old one this may help to suggest both that our problem is not an illusory one and that its solution is not obvious. What follows does not, of course, constitute even a brief survey of the relevant material it is no more than a list of examples, an aide-memoire. 

There are many texts that make the point very clearly that the bonding in a molecule such as SFfi has very little to do with the availability of d atomic orbitals, but this is normally done in the context of MO theory, whereas the general ideas of utilizing d orbitals are much more closely allied with the ideas of classical valence bond theory. This, perhaps, is one of the reasons for the continued survival of such models. To use the aide memoire you should complete the first page, gathering information about your patient, and from this determine what you need to consider in more detail with regard to the drug. There is a blank copy in Appendix 2.

The PIC/S harmonized computer inspection gnide contains aide memoires that can be nsed as inpnt to develop a self-inspection checklist. Snch checklists can be used to examine any aspect of working practices, assess the level of GxP compliance of processes, including compnter systems, with a view to identifying poor practices and opportnnities for improvement. They can also be nsed with eqnal beneficial effect in non-GxP areas. 

This system establishes the presenting complaint and whether or not the patient has had it before. It can be used to find the necessary information for making a diagnosis. Remember that not all questions will necessarily need to be asked and that the order of questioning is not that critical. Use the mnemonic as a checklist or aide memoir.
