Agro-tourism

Tourism and agro-tourism applications in areas that are not serviced by a reliable electricity network, are considered as a market segment of great interest for autonomous power systems. Tourism settlements in such areas are usually small, since they do not offer more than five rooms and in order to supply their residents with electricity they only have two alternatives i) consider a connection to the main electricity grid, which can be costly when the distance that has to be covered is high and ii) install an autonomous power system. Due to the small size of agro-tourism settlements the size of the installed power system is similar to that of the rural housing market segment, which has been analysed in previous sections.
