Capacity aggregation

MMLT/Y, employing 7 tankers, and 17 storage tanks with an aggregate capacity of about 270,000 LT (7). As large shipments of dry bulk sulfur are handled elsewhere in the U. S. (J, 9 > 10), the Tampa environmental issue must be regarded as site specific. 

In the Persian Gulf and North African areas (where oil activity is combined with a notable lack of fresh water), the first significant electric membrane installations were erected about five years ago, and as of April 1, 1960, more than 25 plants with an aggregate capacity of some 200,000 gallons per day were in operation or under construction to serve over 250,000 people with fresh drinking and culinary water in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and Algeria. 

Commercial plants The technology has been selected for use in over 40 units having design capacities (single train) ranging from 320 to 850 Mmtpy. The aggregate capacity of these units exceeds 8 MMmtpy. 

In the late 1980s, the application of chromia-alumina catalysts was extended by Houdry to the dehydrogenation of propane to propylene and isobutane to isobutylene. The new process application called Catofin operates on the same cyclic principle as in the former Catadiene process. As of late 2000, a total of eight Catofin units existed for the production of isobutylene (including two converted older Catadiene units) with an aggregate capacity of about 2.8 million metric tons per annum (MTA) of isobutylene. In addition, two Catofin units were built for the production of propylene, but it is understood that only... 

At present, the only operating Fischer-Tropsch-based units in the world are Sasol I, II, and III, all based on coal feedstocks, with an aggregate capacity of about 180,000 bpsd, the natural-gas-based PetroSA... 

As of September 30, 1962, there are 24 commercial—i.e., nonexperimental— Ionics electrodialytic water demineralizers in operation in the United States, 44 overseas (mostly in North Africa and the Middle East), and 14 on order or under construction. These 82 units with an aggregate capacity of 2,300,000 gallons per day represent approximately 90% of the world s commercial installations almost 90% of the world s commercial capacity (4). 

Ammonia competes with LPG in the shipping sector. However, there is a dedicated ammonia fleet of 40-65 vessels. Since the start of 1990, the shipment of ammonia has consistently required a total of 65 vessels with an aggregate capacity of 1.7 million [II. The total available capacity to carry either LPG or ammonia was estimated at about 8.6 million in 1992. Generally, the size of the vessel determines whether LPG or ammonia is shipped. Table 7.4 provides the general guidelines. Ships larger than 60,000 m are mostiy used for LPG, except for two Russian vessels used exclusively for ammonia. 

The framework consists of four vertical columns mounted above the vehicle s high flotation wheels, supporting two horizontal crane rails which carry the traveling hoists. Loadcarrying capacity ranges from approximately 10 to 60 tons (9000 to 55,000 kg) per hoist for an aggregate capacity of approximately 20 to 120 tons (18,000 to 110,000 kg).
