Acridium ester

Multiple automated and semiautomated systems are available for measuring vitamin B12 and folate, using, for example, chemiluminescence as a signal. The assays are standardized with a 7.5-minute incubation, magnetic particle separation, and acridium ester signal. The precision of automated systems allows specimens to be analyzed in singlet while maintaining CVs less than those found for the mean of duplicates of radioimmunoassays. [Pg.1104]

Acridium ester based chemiluminescence system was applied in food analysis with an acridium ester labelled vitamin derivative and the most specific vitamin B12 binding protein, intrinsic factor (IF) (Emi et al. 2006 Watanabe et al. 1998). The system was used in food analysis for shellfish and spirulina, and compared well with the microbiological method. [Pg.477]
