Abies koreana (present study) Abies balsamea (Schooley, 1967)... [Pg.23]

Abies koreana Wilson (Pinaceae) EO was investigated for its anti-in ammatory activity using LPS-induced RAW 264.7 macrophages. The EO of A. koreana at doses of 12.5, 25, and 50 pg/mL showed dose-dependent inhibition of LPS-induced NO production. LPS-induced COX-2 activity was also suppressed by the EO, and consequently, the PGE2 concentration was reduced. The results exhibited promising anti-in ammatory properties of the EO of A. koreana (Yoon et al., 2009). [Pg.291]

Yoon, W. J., Kim, S.-S., Oh, T.-H., Lee, N. H and Hyun, C.-G. (2009). Abies koreana essential oil inhibits drug-reistant skin pathogen growth and LPS-induced in ammatory effects of murine macrophage. I.inids 44. 471-476. [Pg.320]

Memory loss or amnesia can be caused by factors such as physical and psychological trauma as well as diseases such as stroke and Alzheimer s. Kim et al., [81] identified 68 compounds (more than 95% of the total) in SFE extract obtained from Abies Koreana Wilson and observed that the extraet obtained improves memory in rats. [Pg.7]
