Zigzag chains coordination polymers

Matouzenko, G. S., Perrin, M., Le Guennic, B., et al., Spin crossover behavior in a family of iron(II) zigzag chain coordination polymers. Dalton Trans. 2007, 934-942. [Pg.622]

Coordination polymers have also been investigated for third-order NLO properties. " Thus, [Co(NCS)2(bpms)2] (bpms = l,2-bis(4-pyridylmethyl)disulfenyl) affords a 1-D double zigzag chain coordination polymer (1-D double chain Scheme 5c) and shows significant third-order NLO properties.Mn-4,4 -bpy polymers also show third-order NLO properties. Recently, the 1-D quantum wire [ Ni(l,2-chxn)2Br 2Br] j (1-D linear chain Scheme 5a) demonstrated gigantic third-order NLO activity. ... [Pg.254]

When L46 is used as a bridging ligand to construct coordination polymer compounds, interpolymer tt-tt interactions are often observed. A one-dimensional zigzag chain composed of bridging L46 and a tetrahedral copper(I) ion can be seen in [Cu(L4e)(N03)] (183) (Fig. 47). The copper(I) ion is coordinated by the two nitrogen atoms of the two L molecules and by the two oxygen atoms of the N03 anion. [Pg.235]

In the case of Cu(l) ions, the structure is composed of macrocations [Cu(cw-dbe)2]" in which each metal center is coordinated with one CN group of the four DTE molecules [63]. Each c/s-dbe bridges two copper(l) ions with two cyano groups, leading to an infinite network of metal cations. This copper coordination polymer shows reversible photochromism in the crystalline phase, whereas no modification is observed for the related [Cu(fra s-dbe)(THF)(C104)] which forms a zigzag chain (Fig. 6). [Pg.195]
