Write and Review Procedure

When the level of aid and the format of the procedure have been determined, a draft of the procedure should be produced. Involving the operators who undertake the task in question as part of their job is recommended. Not only does this allow their experience in the task to inform the procedure, but it also gives them a sense of involvement and ownership in the procedure that is likely to enhance their compliance with it. The procedure itself should be clearly and concisely written and easy to read (e.g., avoid the use of aU capital letters and small fonts) and should be written in a consistent fashion with other procedures used within the organization in question. [Pg.101]
