What diameter monitoring well

Methane flow rate (methane concentration x flow rate) l/h [Pg.68]

Both methods are widely used when investigating ground gas problems. The absence of any correlahon is probably because the wells are normally left closed and do not vent continuously. Therefore the well is simply a space that comes into equilibrium with the ground gas regime. In addition, if there are any variations due to the well diameter they are likely to be masked by a multitude of other variables in grormd gas regimes, such as complex responses to atmospheric pressure variations and the oxidation of methane. [Pg.69]

For similar reasons to those above it is also considered that the well diameter will have no significant effect on the results of vapour monitoring. [Pg.69]
