Wet cling index

The wet cling index indicates how likely a textile is to adhere to perspiration moistened skin. Water is applied to a sintered glass plate to simulate sweating skin. The textile sample is mounted on a specimen holder and drawn over the plate. The force required to do this is measured and it serves as the basis for the wet cling index, from which it can be judged whether the textile will stick to the skin and feel uncomfortable when one sweats. [Pg.31]
