The task is defined by a brief requirement specification of a technical system, typically some kind of vehicle, where the expected performance is described together with consttaints, in terms of cost, size, weight, power supply, or other factors. The idea is that the requirements are very clearly specified early in the course but the approach to the task is by no means obvious. How the final product will come out is still very open. A shared site is used for documentation and information sharing within the project. In this way, all information is continuously updated and always available within the project group.
