Weighing gold nuggets

A gold nugget weighing 13 lb, 7 oz, which came to be called Tom s Baby, was found by Tom Grove near Breckenridge, Colorado, on July 23, 1887. 

The Welcome Stranger nugget found in Victoria, Australia, in 1869 weighed over 71kg and yielded nearly 65 kg of refined gold but was, unfortunately, exceptional. 

In 1818 French and English journals contained a description of an enormous platinum nugget weighing 1 pound, 9 ounces, and 1 dram, which had been found by Justo, a Negro slave of Don Ignacio Hurtado, proprietor of the Condoto gold mine at No vita, Chocd, It was sent with the Mutis collections to tire King of Spain, who deposited it in the Royal Museum at Madrid (117). 

A miner discovered some yellow nuggets. They weighed 105 g and had a volume of 21 cm3. Were the nuggets gold or fool s gold (pyrite) (The density of gold is 19.3 g/cm3 and that of pyrite is 5.0 g/cm3 at 20°C.) Show your work to justify your answer.
