Watt-hour

Turbine flowmeters are probably the most common example where pulse inputs are used. Another example is a watt-hour meter. Basically any measurement device that invowes a rotational element can be interfaced via pulses. 

Generator protection. The generator proteetive relays are mounted in a switehboard, whieh usually houses the wattmeter and various transdueers, teleduetors, and optional watt-hour meters.
