Vortex metre

Working principle—An obstacle is placed perpendicular to the axis of pipe in which the fluid is flowing. Eddies are generated across the sides of the obstacle which are detected by electronic sensor. Their frequency is proportional to the fluid flow  [Pg.207]

Not very suitable for low flow rates (sufficiently measurable eddies may not be created)  [Pg.208]
