Vinyltin compounds substitution reactions

One of the most convenient synthetic routes for the preparation of vinyl fluorides 2 is by treatment of the corresponding vinyltin compounds 1 with electrophilic fluorinating reagents. This procedure is also used for the preparation of aryl fluorides, since it is well-established that fluorination with electrophilic reagents is facilitated by ipso substitution of a suitable, usually weakly bonded, metal function. In the case of aryl fluorides, the reaction is also carried out using elemental fluorine as the fluorinating agent. ... [Pg.292]

Moloney and co-workers have studied the decomposition of vinyllead triacetates prepared by the reactions of vinylmercury or vinyltin compounds with lead tetraacetate. Vinyllead triacetates generated in chloroform undergo reductive elimination of lead(II) acetate to afford vinyl cations (Scheme 41). The products are those of substitution (acetates) or elimination (alkynes), depending on the reaction... [Pg.41]

Vinyltin derivatives (92) have been prepared by the reaction of acyltin compounds with phosphonium ylides or with phosphonate carbanions. The tungsten complex (93) reacts with a wide range of aryl-substituted ylides (94), and the vinyl-substituted ylide (95), to give phosphorus to metal alkylidene transfer and hence provides a route to tungsten alkylidene complexes (96). ... [Pg.279]
