Plasmid pJM17 (the adenovirus plasmid ) contains the required Ad5 sequences except that the El region is disrupted by the insertion of pBR322 sequences [58], A unique feature of this plasmid is the presence of some nonviral sequences in the E3 region [59] that become relevant for the viral vector identity testing.
