Validity checks credibility

An institutionalized QA program is a fundamental requirement for any facility engaged in metrology. The QA program applies to sampling as well as analysis and measurement. Application of QA programs provides validity checks for the estimation of the accuracy and precision of the entire process, forms the basis for remedial actions to correct deficiencies, and lends credibility for the acceptance of data within the scientific community.
