Vagina candidiasis

Fungi, such as Candida spp. (yeast), are normal flora of mouth, skin, intestine, and vagina. Candidiasis might be an opportunistic infection when the defense mechanisms are impaired. Antibiotics, oral contraceptives, and immunosuppressives may alter the body s defense mechanisms. Infections can be mild (vaginal yeast infection) or severe (systemic fungal infection). 

Candida. Candida is a species of fungus, that can be found on the skin and mucosal surfaces (mouth, vagina) of most people. Normally, Candida growth is held in check by an ecological balance with other microorganisms and by the immune system. With AIDS patients, Candida will often infect the mouth, causing a condition known as candidiasis or thrush. With thrush, the Candida will form white plaques in the mouth that feel furry to the patient. 

Genital candidiasis is a common disorder caused by a yeast, Candida albicans infects the mucous membrane of the vagina. 

Candidiasis Intestinal tract, skin, mucous membranes (mouth, pharynx, vagina) Amphotericin B, fluconazole Caspofungin, flucytosine, itraconazole... 

Candidiasis of the vagina in oral contraceptive users without evidence of diabetes mellitus has often been reported. 

Systemic infections cansed by fungi are cryptococcus meningitis or endocardites, pulmonary and cerebral aspergilloses, blastomycoses, histoplamosis, coccidiomycosis, and paracoccidiomycosis. Superficial infections are classified into dermatomycosis (infections of the skin, hair, and nails) and candidiasis (infections with yeast that affects mncons membranes of the mouth, vagina, or skin). 

Candidiasis Any disease condition caused by the yeast Candida albicans. It is commonly found on the skin and in the mouth, vagina, and rectum. Overuse of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs, which interfere with the normal metabolic checks and balances of the body, has caused many people to suffer from candidiasis and allowed the once rare disease to become something of a national celebrity.
