UV light, degradation

UV light degradation. It therefore makes sense to incorporate UV blocking agent either into the plastic material or into the adhesive itself. 

PAI is not resistant to sodium hydroxide. PAI has resistance to UV light degradation. Refer to Table 2.17 for the compatibility of PAI with selected corrodents. Reference 1 provides a more detailed listing. 

PPS has good resistance to UV light degradation that can be increased by formulating it with carbon black.

Hydrolysis/hydration to TBTOH2 OH in water the C-Sn bond of TBTO is, however, stable between pH 2-9 and 10-3, but sensitive to UV light (degradation of Bu3SnOH via Bu2Sn and BuSn to Sn )...
