Utility-Gas Gasifier

The Utility-Gas (U-Gas) gasifier was developed by the Chicago Gas Technology Institute since 1974 [158]. The pressurized (2-30bar) stationary bubbling fluidized bed features an internal ash agglomeration that permits a segregation of the 

LHV - lower heating value, Pitt 8 - Pittsburgh No. 8, SAf - South African, a) Amoiuit of heat transferred to the water wall. 

Reconciled operation data is given from the pilot imit in Des Plains, Illinois, for a Western Kentucky No. 9 (WKY 9) bituminous coal in Table 6.20.
