Use of the Rating Form

The six items above have been selected for use because of their sinqilicity and because they are common to every safety program. Any of them can be substituted, if the organization wants other program elements used instead. Only six elements are being used here because the process must be effective, yet simple in design. [Pg.15]

Once the activities for the supervisor have been determined and agreed upon, each supervisor performing the same duties should be measured on the same criteria. If, for some reason, departmental duties are significantly different, certain line items can be modified. [Pg.15]

For annual merit reviews or bonus programs, there are usually minimum and maximum ranges for increases. Many times, the increase involves several measurements to arrive at a total percentage. There may be additional objectives, such as parts picked per hour, tonnage shipped, control of employee turnover, shipping schedules met, and injury reduction. [Pg.15]
