With N-bases (pyridine, urotropine), it directly forms bromine adducts. The step which would lead to nitrogen tribromide adducts, similar to those observed in reaction of nitrogen triiodide adducts in the case of the reaction of Nls-NHs with tertiary bases, is absent [40].
