Unsymmetric Tetraorganotin Compounds with Acetylenic Substituents

5 UNSYMMETRIC TETRAORGANOTIN COMPOUNDS WITH ACETYLENIC SUBSTITUENTS 

This chapter comprises organotin derivatives of unsubstituted acetylenic hydrocarbons and their tautomeric allenic forms. Compounds with olefinic and acetylenic groups follow the principle of the next neighbors, i.e., ccmipounds with the olefinic group nearer to tin shall be found in Chapter 2.. The derivatives listed in Tables 106 and 107 are prepared by methods from the following scheme. 

R = organic group, R organic group, may contain halogen and/or an acetylenic group, X = halogen. 

By rxn. of MeaSnBr with PhCSCMgBr in EtaO, in l -0% yield (Ui 3). 

By rxn. of MeaSnOH with excess PhCiCH at 100-110 , in 79% yield (I92I).
