Understanding the Signs

Like any truly satisfying system, astrology classifies and interprets its basic building blocks in a number of ways. Just for starters, each sign is defined by a polarity (positive or negative reaction pattern), a quality or modality (form of expression), and an element (describing basic temperament). 

J u Negative (yin) signs are more introverted, subjective, and receptive. 

The zodiac can also be divided into pairs of opposing signs. The opposite signs are Aries and Libra Taurus and Scorpio Gemini and Sagittarius

Practical prediction of VCD spectra is now possible for molecules of a medium size as discussed in the previous section. However, ab initio calculations for a macromolecule such as a protein molecule are still impracticable. Even if the calculated results are in agreement with the observed, it is not possible to understand the sign and intensity of the VCD signal through chemical intuition. In such a situation, it is desirable to have an empirical model for understanding the relationship between molecular properties (molecular structure or its partial structure and related vibrational mode) and the observed VCD spectrum.
