Two phase flow line pressure drop calculation

2 Two phase flow line pressure drop calculation [20] [Pg.113]

Homogeneous flow method (Dukler no slip method) [Pg.113]

This method assumes vapor and liquid are well mixed as a homogeneous mixture, no slip between them. The liquid volume foaction, density, and viscosity of the mixture are calculated by following equations, which are derived from Dukler s similanty analysis  [Pg.113]

X is the no slip liquid volume fraction in the two phase flow piUn is the no slip density of the two phase mixture, in lh/ft3 jutins is the no slip viscosity of the two phase mixture, in cp pL is liquid viscosity, in cp pv is vapor viscosity, in cp. [Pg.114]

Per Eq. (15b) and Eq. (15c), the two phase mixture s density and viscosity are volume averages. Once they are known, we can calculate line pressure drop using the method outlined for single phase flow in section III. 1.2. [Pg.114]
