The surfactant-cobalt(III) complex, dx-[Co(trien)(4CNP)(DA)](C10 )j (trien= triethylene tetramine, 4CNP = 4-cyanopyridine, and DA = dodecylamine), was synthesized (Fig. 4.13) and characterized by various spectroscopic and physicochemical techniques.
