Tree-viewer

Clicking the phylogenetic map button links the user to the phylogenetic tree viewer of all GPCR genes of Level A. The branch color can be selected according to subfamily or chromosomal number. 

By clicking submit bottun, after the AND combinations of several conditions, the content search area retrieve the selected GPCR genes that again appear on the chromosomal viewer, the phylogenetic tree viewer, and the lower scroll list page. 

The information about selected objects is also communicated to other views in LigandScout, such as a 2D depiction and a tree-viewer. In this way, the user can easily identify parts of the molecule in the different views and find additional information about them.

When examining a polished section or thin section, the viewer must constantly think in three dimensions, not merely in terms of the nearly two-dimensional view seen in the microscope. Dendritic periclase, therefore, should be considered as a three-dimensional, branching, treelike or skeletal crystal, typically growing within a liquid matrix, the surface of the section revealing only part of the tree. ToolBus comprises several data analysis software platforms such as multiple sequence alignment, phylogenetic trees, generic XML viewer, pathways, and microarray analysis, which are linked to each other as well as to major databases. SRS and NCBI serve as general data retrieval portals as well as provide links to specific analysis tools. 

For each type of models, such as fault tree, two schemas are defined one for GUI layout information associated with viewers and editors, and one for the logical data. The separation allows user to switch to a different editor if needed.
