These methods enable very rapid drying.The moist biomass is sprayed into a rising stream of hot gas at the bottom. The finely distributed biomass is carried upwards by the gas stream, whereby the water is evaporated and incorporated into the gas. At the same time the gas is cooled by the evaporation.
