Transmission electron microscopy sintering behavior

Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) carried out on these erystals reveals different behaviors according to the drying eonditions tested. The erystals obtained from dioxane are similar to blocks of sintered partieles since they consist of microcrystallites bound to eaeh other, as if partially welded. In fact, the measurement of mereury porosity indicated a very high porosity. This sintered aspect concords with the non-transmission of hghtflirough the whole crystal. [Pg.1118]
