Transfer from Plates to Liquids

Holding the transfer loop in the right hand, flame and cool. [Pg.190]

Select colony from Petri plate or slant as previously described. [Pg.190]

Pick up the tube containing sterile liquid medium with left hand. [Pg.190]

Remove cap with right hand, and flame lip of tube. [Pg.191]

Immerse loop into liquid in receiving tube, rubbing the loop against the glass to assist in cell removal. [Pg.191]
