Topography Studies

Song and co-workers [14] point out that in MTA three images based on topography, thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity can be obtained simultaneously. They used MTA to study the phase separation process in a 50 50 (by weight) PS-polyvinyl methyl ether (PVME) blend and natural rubber-nitrile rubber blends. 

Abad and co-workers [15] presented a method based on MTA and AFM for evaluating the thermal properties of the films and detecting fabrication failures. 

The characterisation of biaxially oriented PP films (BOPP) using the Microthermal Analyzer (jiTA 2990) was studied.

The results of all of these topography studies are summarized in Fig. 1. The open eircles indicate residues of the H -ATPase shown in one way or another to be located on the cytoplasmic side of the membrane and the closed circles indicate residues in membrane-embedded segments. The lines in the sequence indicate minor regions with locations as yet not established. Thus, the topographical locations of nearly all of the 919 residues in the molecule have been established. It should be emphasized that the exact points of entry and exit of the polypeptide chain into and out of the membrane are not implied in the model.

Topography Abad and co-workers [342] used the TA Instruments TA2990 microthermal analyser to carry out topography studies including fabrication failure on biaxially oriented PP film. 

Bridgman crystals contain several major grains and numerous subgrains within each major grain. A Berg-Barrett X-ray topography study of Bridgman material... 

A secondary benefit obtained from ACRT was a decrease in the number of major grains, typically from 10 to 1 in the x = 0.2 region. A Berg-Barrett X-ray topography study of ACRT samples showed that the misorientations of subgrains was reduced, compared to Bridgman, but the density was essentially unchanged.
