Vitamin E is delivered to tissues by three mechanisms transfer from triglyceride-rich lipoproteins during lipolysis as a result of tissue lipoprotein uptake by various receptors that mediate lipoprotein uptake and as a result of vitamin E exchange between lipoproteins or tissues.
