Zagorzycki investigated the technical and economic feasibility of humidity control systems applied to conveyor dryers such as tobacco dryers [43,44]. The humidity at any point in the dryer is controlled by the adjustment of the volume of exhaust flow. In this case study, it has been shown that applying control technology to conveyor dryers offers substantial cost savings.
