Description and Properties. — Ammoniac is found in tears and drops, sometimes distinct, but more generally in agglutinated masses. Externally the tears ore yellow, with a tinge of brown, with a waxy lustre internally they are whits or cream-colored, and opaque. It is moderately hard, and at ordinary temperatures brittle, but softens like wax with the heat of the hood. It hoe a faint and somewhat unpleasant, but very peculiar odor, best detected by subjecting it te heat j its teste is bitter and nauseous. 

White mustard (Sinapis alba L.) honey is golden yellow when liquid and acquires a cream-yellow tinge when it crystallizes. 

Willow-herb (Epilobium angustifolium L.) honey is transparent, with a greenish tinge, and crystallizes into white grains or a cream-like mass (see Yorish, 2001). 

These red-pored mushrooms are recognized by large size and club-shaped stem with coarse, reddish scales. Caps range from 3" to 7" wide and are broadly convex, almost spherical. The surface is dry, uneven or pitted, color ranging from dull-brown to cream-brown, the pigments often mottled, frequently tinged reddish towards the edge.

The greatest enhancement in the rate of reaction was observed when a catalytic amount of benzophenone was added to the reaction mixture. This modification had the added advantage that the reaction became self-indicating as a result of the characteristically dark blue sodium benzophenone ketyl radical. Dropwise addition of a solution of diphenyldiselenide in a minimal volume of THF appeared to result in virtually instantaneous formation of the cream-coloured sodium phenylselenide and the reaction was complete when the last mauve tinges had disappeared.
