Time-Warner

The 1,7-billion, 2.8-million-square-Joot Time Warner Center opened in Tebruary 2004, after seven years in construction. Jewel and Marc Anthony performed at the opening-night party. Tive thousand apple martinis awaited arriving guests. 

It also has a back door, a cherished and time-honored notion on the New York nightlife scene. But, this is the Time Warner Center, and apparently everybody is happy to use the escalators or elevators, celebrities and would-be celebrities included.
