Tiering the Risk Assessment Process

Tiers are widely used to help improve the efficiency of the risk assessment process. They generally start with a simplified assessment to screen out scenarios with obviously high or low risks. 

Application of Uncertainty Analysis to Ecological Risk of Pesticides 

Optimizing the use of probabilistic methods within the regulatory assessment process, and especially within tiered assessments, was recognized as one of the key issues that were given special consideration at the PeUston workshop that developed this book.
