10 Three-component coupling of silyltellurides, carbonyl compounds and isocyanides 

Three-component coupling proceeds under mild conditions, giving the group-transfer product.  

The competitive formation of the silyloxytelluride detected during the progress of the reaction, and of the silylated TEMPO formed by adding the radical scavenger TEMPO, suggests the following reaction pathway  

The reaction is of general character, applicable to a variety of aldehydes and ketones. Aromatic ketones give the highest yields. 

The synthetic utility of the reaction is demonstrated by the oxidative hydrolysis of the products, giving silyloxy amides.
