Thioethers, as ligands

In addition to the intrinsic properties of thioethers as ligands, crown thioethers often display peculiar effects caused by incorporation of the donor atoms into a macrocyclic structure. These effects can be subdivided into two groups 1) those (such as macrocyclic constriction/dilation) that are common to all macrocycles.
