Thermonospora fusca

Index Entries Thermonospora fusca Cel9A cellulases protein engineering computer modeling. [Pg.288]

Individual strains that are able to degrade aliphatic-aromatic copolyesters synthesized from 1,4-butanediol, adipic acid, and terephthalic acid were isolated by using compost as a microbial source [92]. Among these microorganisms, thermophilic actinonycetes dominate the initial degradation step. Two actinomycete strains identified as Thermonospora fusca exhibited high copolyester degradation rates. [Pg.146]
