The structural chemistry of gallium and indium

To our earlier remarks on the lower valence states of these elements we add here a summary of their structural chemistry in the trivalent state. Many Ga(iii) and In(iil) (and a few Tl(iii)) compounds have similar structures, and there is a strong resemblance to Al, which forms compounds structurally similar to all those of Table 26.3.
