The Overall Management of Time

It is over simplistic to think that by telling each Project team to improve their Time-to-Market that it will happen. In a multi-project environment each project team will be competing for resources and support to meet their personal goals. Conflicts between teams are bound to arise and it is imperative that management action be taken to avoid this happening. 

The size of this steering group is important, small but with the correct level of expertise and authority to gain the respect of the project teams. Ideally the group should have the following components  

Devise new products Keep costs down Sell the existing range 

Introduce a new product Meet the schedule of production Meet the sales forecasts 

Improve the process for Improve the output of Improve the supply to
