The legal foundations of activation measures

Any form of activation - whether in the sense of a comprehensive strategy (and its ultimate acceptance), or the implementation of a bundle of measures (motivated by social policy) or individual measures - aimed at creating specific preconditions for employment promotion, as well as the concrete realisation of these aims, will be subject to overall legal requirements. 

Legal framework conditions can have national and international origins but also be of a supranational nature, e.g. the EU law. This is because international and, above all, supranational legal norms are often transposed into national French law (see also general Introduction). In French law, the specific national regulatory framework consists of various levels.
