The Grinder

Grinder Variables. The quaUty of pulp depends on wood species, moisture content, and grinder variables such as peripheral stone speed, grit size and number per unit area, and pattern on the stone surface. Process variables that affect pulp quaUty include grinding pressure pit consistency, ie, consistency in the space immediately below the grinder (2—6%) and temperature (40—80°C). The combination of moisture and raised temperature tends to soften the lignin. 

The flavor of instant coffee can be enhanced by recovering and returning to the extract or finished dry product some of the natural aroma lost in processing. The aroma constituents from the grinders, percolation vents, and evaporators may be added dkectly or in concentrated or fractionated form to achieve the deskable product attributes. 

Hard rubber is one of the few combustible materials which is generally ground on heavy steam-heated rollers. The raw material passes to a series of rolls in closed circuit with screens and air classifiers. Farrel-Birmingham rolls are used extensively for this work. There is a differential in the roll diameters. The motor should be separated from the grinder by a fire wall. 

Experiments on the studies of possible emission of active particles were conducted in a vial similar to that shown in Fig. 6.1. Chamber 2 was linked to the vacuum grinder. The grinder involved thick wall quartz test tube and a quartz piston (glass-covered iron weight). When pulse signals were fed to the coil of an electromagnet the piston rose by 2 - 3 cm and fell down. Such an instrument made it possible to grind quartz with substantial efficiency in a thick wall test tube made of fused quartz [61]. 

The conveyor belt is automatic, and its speed is constant. What is controlled is its length, which is adjusted depending on the quantity of material to be taken to the grinder. The maximum length is 7 m. 

Place the material into the grinder and collect in hopper bag. 

Finding (Blue Grass) EFKE-3. The grinding test achieved most of its objectives, particularly those related to safety. Upon completion of the grinding test, questions remained about the design of the feed system and the size of the grinder and motor needed for the full-scale system.
