THE EXPERIMENTAL WORLD OF CHEMISTRY

The word experiment comes from Latin experiri or experimentum, which means attempt. In the scientific method, experiments are the processes from which all empirical knowledge is born. 

In chemistry, chemists always need experiments to research cause/effect relationships between phenomena. 

Like other scientists, such as physicists, biologists, and many others, chemists must follow four systematic steps while experimenting  

Analyzing results, reaching a conclusion and sharing results 

Through the use of experiments, chemists understand the properties and changes which occur in matter and the various reactions between different substances.
