Tetraorganotin Compounds Containing Carbonyl Groups and Derivatives

Previously most of the carbonyl derivatives of the organotin moiety have been regarded as Sn-C derivatives of the tautomeric ketone. It is now generally accepted that derivatives of 1,2- and l,5 icarbonyl compounds are Sn-0 chelates with the diketone acting as bidentate ligand. The corresponding ketone derivatives may exist in an equilibrium of both Sn-C and Sn-0 isomer with steric and electronic reasons for prevalence of either form. The reader is advised to check Chapter and Tables 192-19 for any given compound. [Pg.389]
