Tetrakis methane hydrolysis

Hydrolysis and oxidative hydrolysis of tetrakis[(diiodarsino)methyl]methane... [Pg.618]

Sodium diphenylarsenide in liquid ammonia reacts with tetra(chloromethyl)methane to form tetrakis(diphenylarsinomethyl)methane (275). The tetra-sodium arsenide (276), obtained by cleavage of (275) with sodium in liquid ammonia, on hydrolysis and oxidation by air yields the spiro-system (277) (Scheme 45) <70ZAAC(378)303>. [Pg.1108]

Tetrakis(diiodoarsinomethyl)methane (292) <86ZN(B)863> on hydrolysis gives the arsonous acid (293) of the trioxatriarsaadamantane <87J0M(336)323>. The crystal structure of the deuterated derivative (-As(OD)2) was solved by x-ray diffraction analysis. There is evidence for the existence of two... [Pg.1109]
